Hey, can anyone of you help me? when i bought my nikon d60 i realised there were some scratches when i looked through the viewfinder, and it appears that the scractches are from the focusing lens inside the cameras body right above the mirror. does normal warranty cover it? or must i just get a new focusing lens? i just got my nikon d60 today :(

Should my Nikon D60 make any sounds when the sensor cleaning is taking place? My Canon XTi did, but my D60 doesn’t…

it has a sports photography mode that only uses the center focus point and fast shutter speed. works great for action photography!

even though the camera has a 3 point auto focus would it still be a good camera to shoot cars in motion or other action shots?

I would get the d60 …
I would get the d60 as its newer technology at a lower price. You can go to some photo review websites and print out the specs to compare the two. I think the D60 is a good camera at a good price and the money you save you can use to uprgrade your lens

I am quite familiar …
I am quite familiar with 35mm SLRs (I have the Minolta) and am thinking of purchasing a DSLR. I’ve basically mastered taking photos using the f stops and shutter speeds. Would the d60 be a better product for me, or should I go for the d80. I don’t know the difference.

I finally stepped …
I finally stepped up or should I say “gave in” to a digital SLR and splurged on my birthday. I am thrilled that I did. I really am enjoying the D60.
I had resisted going from film SLR to digital but it was worth the switch. I still use and have my film SLRs (all 3 of them) and will keep them around till film becomes extinct! BUT I LOVE MY D60.

Hi! If I were you, …
Hi! If I were you, I’d save my money and buy the D40 – it’s essentially the same camera with just some lesser MP (but 6 megapixel is more than enough, in fact more megapixel gives noisier images) and then get the money you’ve saved and use them on either the SB 400 flash and/or the 55-200mm VR.
