WOuld have thought so – standard fitment but maybe you could get an adaptor if not.

It will not work because the FM2 cannot change the aperture of Nikon "G" lens.

Probably your D60 has a lens called "Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR". The "G" means it doesn't have a aperture ring.

Also, this is a DX lens and the image circle will not cover all the film. You will get a lot of fall-off.

Here is a list of all the Nikon lenses and the cameras they fit.

Generally except for the entry level cameras like the D60 (D40 and D40x) all the older AI Nikon lenses and newer will work just fine on the Nikon DSLR's.

Any of the new "G" lenses will have issues on older cameras that do not have aperture control on the cameras body.

Hello,

(ANS) For many many years the "backwards compatibility" of Nikon camera lenses was one of the makers biggest selling points. But since the invention of Digital cameras and digital photography this seems to have past into history and is no longer the case.

**As far as I can see specific camera bodies require specific lens mountings and so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they didn't fit.

**The honest answer is that you would be best asking this question directly to Nikon Camera Technical department. At the UK HQ of Nikon cameras as you should get a definitive answer. my guess is they wont be compatible but I'm no Nikon expert any more.

Ivan
