I have been taking pictures for a little while with my work camera and just bought one of my own. I am unsure what lenses i should start with. Any Suggestions?

The 18-55mm kit lens that comes with most D60 cameras is a great start. My suggestion for the next optic would be the Nikon 55-200mm vr (vibration reduction). Together, you’ll have a very nice 18-200mm range that covers most of what many photographers need.
I’d also look at an SB-400 or SB-600 flash to compliment your camera as either will help you capture indoor photos with more flattering lighting and greater range than the built-in flash can.
